Cape Town - English Premier League side Arsenal are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign Real Madrid and Spanish Under-21 midfielder Dani Ceballos on loan.
Emery, whose side play Madrid in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday was quoted as saying by The Mirror: We were speaking about the possibility to sign one player for line. We had different names. The club was working on that.
"Ceballos is a very good player. I know him from Betis at the beginning and Real Madrid.
"He played very well in the Under-21s, his national team won the competition. He is one eight and 10 player."
The Gunners beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur to his signature with Mauricio Pochettino believed to be a big admirer.
This come after Arsenal also pipped Spurs to the signature of St Etienne teenage defender William Saliba with the 18-year-old set to complete a £27 million deal.
