Cape Town - The contract of Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino carried a buyout of clause of £82m that can be triggered by any club except Arsenal.
In the latest batch of information released by Football Leaks, the details of Firmino's switch from TSG Hoffenheim in 2015 have been laid bare.
And according to a report published by Belgian publication Le Soir, the Merseyside outfit have taken measures to avoid a repeat of the situation that saw Arsenal make a bid of £40m £1 for Luis Suarez in 2013.
As such, "Arsenal can not buy him for (£83 million). Nor for any higher amount, moreover."
The Brazil international has made 13 appearances in the Premier League this season, contributing five goals and three assists.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was also left scrambling to tie down defender, Toby Alderweireld to a new contract after the site revealed that the player had a buy-out clause of only £25m in his contract.
This led Spurs to releasing a statement strongly denying the claims while adding that no member of their squad has an active release clause as part of their contract.
The leak could lead to a number of top clubs coming in for the Belgian international with the likes of Chelsea bidding well over that amount in search of defensive recruitment's over the last transfer window.
