Cape Town - Defender Marcos Alonso has insisted he is not considering a move away from Chelsea despite rumours of a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
Playing at wing-back, Alonso was a key part of Chelsea's title-winning 2016/17 Premier League campaign. However, the Blues have struggled to replicate that form this season and currently lie fifth on the table.
The Spaniard's stock has continued to rise and he earned himself a place in Julen Lopetegui's squad for games against Argentina and Germany. Nevertheless, he has affirmed his commitment to his struggling club.
Speaking to Marca on a potential move away from Chelsea, Alonso said: "I have not considered that possibility. I just try to give the best of me to my team.
"I made my [Real Madrid] debut with [Manuel] Pellegrini in 2009/10, and that summer I had the opportunity to go to the Premier League.
"I don't know what would've happened if I stayed. I live in the present."
The 27-year-old has played 28 Premier League games this season, scoring six goals.
