Albrighton charged for reaction to red card

Cape Town - The Football Association (FA) has charged Leicester winger Marc Albrighton with misconduct relating to his red card in the heavy 5-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Albrighton was shown a straight red card in the 56th minute at Selhurst Park after tangling with Wilfried Zaha as the Eagles winger looked to race onto a through-ball.

The 28-year-old was furious with referee Mike Dean's decision to send him off, and the FA charge stems from his heated reaction to the dismissal.

Albrighton is banned for the visit of West Ham on Saturday, but he's now in danger of sitting out the final two games of the season against Tottenham and Arsenal.

He has featured in all but one of the club's 35 games in the Premier League this season, registering two goals and seven assists.
