Cape Town - Manchester City's star midfielder Yaya Toure has named his top five players in the world, with a surprise in store for rival fans.
Talking to former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand in an interview for BT Sport, Toure played it safe by selecting both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Toure, who was on the books of Barcelona from 2007 until 2010, included only one current Manchester City team-mate in his selection.
Argentina striker Sergio Aguero made the cut with the Ivorian midfield dynamo labeling Aguero as "fantastic".
Gareth Bale was perhaps a surprise inclusion in Toure's selection but the fifth player to make the cut will probably raise eyebrows from both sides of Manchester.
Toure, who did not want to name "an enemy", rounded out his top 5 by choosing Wayne Rooney of Manchester United.
