West Ham after Reds striker

Cape Town - Slaven Bilic is looking at the prospect of bringing Liverpool striker Fabio Borini to the Hammers this summer.

The Evening Standard reports that Fabio Borini could be the subject of a £8 million bid from West Ham United.

Borini flattered to deceive last season when all Liverpool strikers failed to cope with the void left by Luis Suarez' departure and injured star Daniel Sturridge. In fact, the Italian striker has scored just 3 goals in 38 appearances for the Reds.

Bilic has already added two players to his new look squad, Pedro Obiang (Sampdoria) and Dimitri Payet (Marseille), and could take his summer spending to £23 million should he land Borini.

Borini arrived at Anfield in a £10.5 million deal from Roma in 2012.
