Cape Town - According to the Metro, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly been told to bring Cesc Fabregas back to the club by senior Gunners officials.
Newly appointed Barcelona boss, Luis Enrique, has reportedly put the former Arsenal midfielder up for sale, and Manchester United are apparently preparing a £30 million offer to sign him.
However, Arsenal hold all the cards in the deal, with the side having inserted a buy-back clause in his contract when he was sold to the Catalan outfit in 2011.
It’s thought that Wenger is not currently considering bringing Fabregas back to north London, but reports in Spain say pressure has been put on the Frenchman to reconsider.
According to several sources, club officials along with members of Wenger’s own coaching staff have told him to give serious thought to re-signing Fabregas.
Now 27, the Spain international earned hero status after playing out eight years with the Gunners, and he remains a firm favourite among supporters.
