Wenger sacked (from TV gig)

Cape Town - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been told "it's not me, it's you" by a French TV channel after a 10 year relationship.

According to the IndependentTF1 has relieved Wenger of his duties as a television pundit.

TF1 is France's main commercial channel and has had a long-term relationship with Arsenal's French boss.

Wenger is highly respected in his homeland and the decision has reportedly shocked the manager. According to a leading French newspaper, Wenger was "greatly surprised” by the decision.

TF1's decision to end it's agreement with Wenger brings to an end a 10 year agreement between the two parties.
