Wenger keen on Sterling?

Cape Town - Amidst conflicting reports that Liverpool contract rebel Raheem Sterling could ask for a move away from Anfield on Friday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been asked to declare his intentions over a possible move.

Wenger made an unsuccessful attempt to prise Luis Suarez away from Anfield in 2013 and does not want to add further embarrasment by declaring his interest, only to be thwarted in his attempts to lure the prodigy away from Merseyside.

Arsene Wenger was coy when asked if was interested in signing Sterling during a press conference on Tuesday.

"I don't like to lie. If I say I will and I don't do it, you will say I lied," said the Frenchman.
