Walcott: We'll be feared

Cape Town - Theo Walcott believes he and new signing Alexis Sánchez will form a lethal combination which will cause many problems for opposition defences in the upcoming 2014/15 season.

The Guardian are reporting that the pacy winger is eager to get started with his new teammate Sanchez, who signed a deal to join Arsenal last week from Barcelona.

The 25-year-old forward was signed after impressing during Chile's Soccer World Cup campaign where the forward scored twice.

Walcott welcomed his new teammate and noted the Chilean's fine performances in Brazil.

“Sánchez is a world-class player and I enjoyed watching him play for Barcelona and for Chile at the World Cup” said Walcott.

Walcott is confident that Sanchez will bring further pace and power to the Arsenal front-line, something which the Englishman said Arsenal were lacking last season.

“With me and him on the flanks, a lot of teams won’t be looking forward to playing Arsenal this year.”
