Cape Town - Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar has set his sights on the clash
with Everton in a fortnight to make his return from a calf injury.
Vlaar carried his fine form from the World Cup into the start of the new season as the Villans conceded just one goal in the three games he played.
However, the Netherlands international has been sidelined since the end of August, and has missed four games as Villa beat Liverpool before slumping to three consecutive defeats.
And Vlaar has targeted a return to action once the Premier League resumes on October 18 following the international break.
"My calf is improving all the time but I've already resigned myself to missing Holland's next two European Championship qualifiers," he told The Birmingham Mail.
"That would make the game against Everton at Goodison Park in two weeks' time my target for a comeback.
"It's so annoying to be missing crucial games against top sides."
