Cape Town - Manchester City's extended pursuit of Liverpool's Raheem Sterling has found support from Patrick Vieira.
Vieira, who was linked with the Newcastle manager position before it was filled by Steve McClaren, thinks Sterling is worth every pound spent on trying to sign him.
The Daily Star report that Manchester City will make a third bid for Sterling.
Liverpool have previously rejected two bids from the Citizens but a third bid, expected to be a club-record £50 million, is likely to be too good to refuse.
"I think if you ask 10 people what they think about him, I think nine would give you a positive answer." said Vieira, the City academy development executive.
"I would be part of the nine people because he's shown how good he is, how well he's been doing at Liverpool."
"If he is in the market, not just City would be interested in him."
