Van Gaal ready to splash the cash

Cape Town - Two Real Madrid players, a World Cup winner and a Dutch international make up the list of players wanted by Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

The Mirror reports that Manchester United will be spending £150 million in the summer transfer market.

Louis van Gaal will look to add up to four players to his 2015/16 squad as the club prepares for a return to the Champions League.

Louis Van Gaal's top FOUR targets for the current transfer window:

1. Jasper Cillessen (Ajax Amsterdam)

The Dutch international goalkeeper is tipped to replace David De Gea in the summer. Cillessen is another former Van Gaal player tipped to join Manchester United but the Red Devils face a tough task convincing his Dutch club to lower their £25 million valuation.

2. Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)

Ramos' current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires in 2017 but the vastly experienced defender could be offered to Manchester United as part of the deal which will see David De Gea the other way.

3. Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich)

The 30-year-old midfielder is being touted as the solution to Van Gaal's midfield revamp. Van Gaal worked with the talented German during his time as Bayern Munich manager which included moving the 2014 Soccer World Cup winner from the wing to his current central role. Schweinsteiger's Bayern contract expires at the end of the 2015/16 season.

4. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

The French international has been linked with Manchester United in the past and could be the subject of an audicious bid from the Red Devils in the summer. Benzema or Spurs' striker Harry Kane remain the favourites to replace Robin Van Persie in the Manchester United lineup next season.
