Cape Town - Manchester United's Dutch international Daley Blind has impressed his manager during the side's pre-season tour of North America.
Despite United going down to PSG on Wednesday, Blind's performances have caught the attention of his manager Louis van Gaal.
“I was very pleased with his performances, not only this evening but also the former performances,” van Gaal told the Manchester United website.
Blind has been deployed as a centre back on tour but the versatile player is not guaranteed to start the Red Devils league campaign in that position.
“I think he can build up the game better from that position and he defended very well." said van Gaal.
"I think I shall use him there, but also in midfield and also at left full-back position. I am pleased with his performances over here in USA."
Manchester United's 2015/16 season gets underway on August, 8 when Tottenham Hotspur visit Old Trafford.
The match kicks off at 13:45.
