Van Dijk won't be sold cheaply

Cape Town - Southampton and Arsenal have now been warned by Celtic that they won't be letting defender Virgil van Dijk go cheaply.

In-demand Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk won't be sold cheaply according to talkSPORT.

The 23-year-old Dutch defender has been linked with several English Premiership clubs after playing a key role in Celtic's fine Scottish Premiership campaign last season.

Celtic will demand the appropriate transfer fee should any club want to try sign van Dijk in January.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila warned potential buyers: "It will not be a surprise for me if there is interest in Van Dijk in January, but he will be very expensive,".

"Van Dijk is a fantastic player who keeps on improving and I hope he stays with us."
