Cape Town – Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal will reportedly try and lure Everton right-back Seamus Coleman in January.

According to the Daily Mirror, United will bid £25m in order to land the 26-year-olds services.

Reports suggest that Coleman will fit the bill at Old Trafford as Van Gaal sees the full-back as the perfect defender to play in his wing-back system.

Meanwhile, United are also busy trying to bring former club captain, Nemanja Vidic, back in January as the player is finding life tough at Inter Milan.

This would ensure United have some much needed experience in their back four something the Red Devils have been lacking.

Manchester United are in action on New Year’s day against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Kick-off is at 14:45.
