United lead race to sign Messi

Cape Town - After hinting that he could be set to leave Barcelona in the future, Lionel Messi has sparked interest from a number of different clubs, and according to reports, Manchester United are currently leading the race to sign the Argentina superstar. Other interested clubs include rivals Manchester City, PSG and Monaco.

According to the Metro, Messi, who has been dogged by speculation over his future in recent months, hinted in an interview with Ole this week that he would consider leaving the Nou Camp one day.

Messi’s price tag is expected to be somewhere around the £100million mark, and it is believed that the Red Devils are willing to throw in a huge offer soon, despite the fact that it seems unlikely that Barca will want to sell.
