Townsend working hard

Cape Town - Andros Townsend feels he’s improving with every game after playing his part in the win  Capital One Cup win over Brighton.

Speaking after Spurs win over Brighton in the League Cup to the club's website, the young England international is aware of the task at hand.

“I know maybe at the moment I’m not playing well enough to break into the Premier League side but I’m feeling better and better and felt sharp tonight, got some good crosses in and hopefully it will all fall into place,” said Townsend.

“I just have to keep working hard and be ready when I'm called upon.”

Aston Villa pose a major threat to Tottenham Hotspur's league ambitions on Sunday.

Spurs will be travelling to Villa Park to take on a wounded Villa side desperate for English Premiership points.

The match kicks off 18:00.
