Toon after Dutch star

Cape Town -  Georginio Wijnaldum is edging closer to a Premier League move after being left out of a PSV pre-season friendly.

The 24-year-old Holland international is Newcastle United's top trasnfer target, according to the Telegraph.

Wijnaldum was part of the Dutch side that finished third at the 2014 Soccer World Cup which was coached by current Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Newcastle are expected to pay £11 million to land the attacking midfielder's signature.

Wijnaldum scored 16 goals last season as PSV won the Eredivisie title.

Wijnaldum signed for PSV from Dutch rivals Feyenoord in 2011 and would become Newcastle United's first summer signing should a deal be completed with PSV.
