Tevez fined for 'speeding'

Oldham - Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been fined after pleading guilty to speeding.

The Argentina international was clocked driving at 38 mph (61 kph) in a 30 mph (48 kph) zone shortly after his team's home draw with Birmingham in the Premier League last November.

Tevez was fined 60 pounds and ordered to pay court costs of 35 pounds.

However, prosecutors dropped a charge against Tevez of failing to disclose the identity of the driver of his Bentley in a separate incident on Feb. 12.
