Cape Town - Daniel Sturridge is excited at the prospect of ending a two-year wait to make his European debut for Liverpool.

Liverpool host Besiktas in their Europa league last 32 fixture on Thursday night and after missing out on the Reds' Champions League run due to injury, Sturridge is keen to experience European action with Liverpool.

"I can't wait to finally get out there and actually have my debut with Liverpool in Europe,” he told Sky Sports.
