Spurs enter Agger race

Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspur's new manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring Liverpool's wantaway defender Daniel Agger to White Hart Lane.

Pochettino is plotting a shock move to bring Danish defender Daniel Agger to White Hart Lane reports the Herts and Essex Observer.

With Agger desperate to leave the Anfield club, Spurs are interested in taking advantage of the situation to bring his vast English Premiership experience to the London club.

With the 2014/15 season about to begin, Agger could spend his 10th season in England with a new club.

Agger has made 232 appearances for Liverpool but made just 23 of those during last season's campaign.
