Spurs after United's Young

Cape Town - Ashley Young has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to reports.

Tottenham Hotspur will make a move for Manchester United winger Ashley Young, reports the Mirror.

Following Crystal Palace's resistance to sell Congo winger Yannick Bolasie, Spurs have turned their interest to Young.

Despite Balosie's interest in moving to Palace's London rivals, Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is expected to keep hold of the 26-year-old star.

Young enjoyed arguably his best season at Old Trafford last season displacing out of sorts Angel Di Maria in the process.

The former Aston Villa man is currently in negotiations over a new deal with the Red Devils but talks are reportedly not going smoothly.

Young joined Manchester United in June 2011 on a fee of £15 million.

Spurs will need to convince the 30-times capped England international to lower his £110 000 per week wages, if the London club can agree a fee with Manchester United.
