Sherwood's style wins support

Cape Town - Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverly has hailed Tim Sherwood's impact at the club following their shock 2-1 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The result means Villa will face holders Arsenal in the final on 30 May, and Cleverly says Sherwood's attacking style of play since coming in has made them far more watchable and believes they are more than capable of upsetting the Gunners.

"He has brought an attacking style of football," the on-loan Manchester United man is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

"At times we gamble, and it is a case of entertaining the fans and that's what was needed to bring back to the football club. Along with some fantastic defensive displays, we are good to watch and it's great to play in.

"I'm playing with four fantastic midfielders here in Westy (Ashley Westwood), Carlos (Sanchez) and Delphy, so it's an absolute pleasure to play with them every week and I'm really enjoying my football.

"I think The FA Cup final is a one-off day. Hull nearly managed to do it against them last year and we'll be going into the match in full confidence.

"When we have played Arsenal this year we have been in bad spells, but hopefully come Saturday, May 30, we will be right on form.

"It hasn't sunk in yet that we will be playing for a major trophy in a massive final - it's (a) hugely proud moment."
