Cape Town - Brendan Rodgers is looking to add three players to his struggling English Premiership squad in the January transfer window.
Metro report that Liverpool will chase a striker, a winger and Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech in January.
According to reports, Liverpool will spend £47million on three players in a bid to bolster Rodgers' beleaguered side.
Top of the January transfer shortlist is Petr Cech with Rodgers keen to test his rivals with a £7 million bid.
Porto's Colombian striker Jackson Martinez is being lined up as a more direct replacement for Luis Suarez while the Reds also want to bring in Norwich winger Nathan Redmond.
The England Under-21 player will reportedly cost £10 million.
Rodgers eyes Martinez as a player who could immediately make an impact in the business end of the season and has allocated £30 million for the 28-year-old striker.
Martinez has a trememdous goal return in Portugal. He has scored 72 goals in 107 appearances for Porto.
