Cape Town - Liverpool and Arsenal are being credited with a firm interest in Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Gignac, currently Ligue 1's second most profilic scorer with 14 goals to his name this season, is set to leave France with Marseille already searching for his replacements reports the Daily Express.

The 29-year-old striker has consistently been linked with a move to England but with Liverpool and Arsenal both determined to bolster their forward line, reports in France suggest a summer move is likely for Gignac.
