Reds fans call for Johnson axe

Cape Town - Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-1 in the pre-season International Champions Cup last night, and while Reds boss Brendan Rodgers was happy with his team's performance, Liverpool fans were less than impressed with the performance of left-back Glen Johnson.

Rodgers has been in the job market for a new full-back, and, after last night's performance, it's not hard to understand why. The England international clearly had a nightmare of a game, sparking an uproar on social media with fans asking for him to be "left in America".

While there were many positives to take from the game, Liverpool fans took to Twitter to express their frustration with Johnson instead.
