QPR sign Reds defender

London - QPR signed Liverpool defender Jack Robinson on Thursday and then loaned him to Huddersfield.

Robinson agreed a four-year contract with the west London club, but the England Under-21 full-back will spend this season learning his trade with Championship side Huddersfield.

The 20-year-old made 11 appearances for Liverpool but, with manager Brendan Rodgers having numerous full-back options, he decided to leave Anfield after previous loan spells at Wolves and Blackpool.

"Jack is one for the future. He's a good young player," QPR manager Harry Redknapp said.

"He'll continue his development at Huddersfield this season in the Championship, where I'm sure he'll do well."
