Podolski linked with Gunners exit

Cape Town - Turkish club Galatasaray are on the verge of making a double swoop for a pair of Arsenal forwards after receiving positive feedback.

After selling club captain Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona, Arsene Wenger could axe two other SWC stars ahead of the new EPL season.

According to the Daily Star, Galatasaray were encouraged by the response received from Arsenal for enquiries over a move for both Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell.

Reports indicate that Galatasaray are determined to push through a transfer for Campbell while the Turkish club was boosted by the response over their enquiry for Lukas Podolski,

Campbell starred for Costa Rica at the World Cup in Brazil while Podolski was part of the winning German national team.

Wenger has concerns over a growing wage bill at the Emirates and may allow Podolski to leave in order to fund a move for a holding midfielder.

Podolski has scored 28 goals in 69 games for the Gunners.
