Cape Town - Crystal Palace are set to sign QPR goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, with the deal imminent according to the club's manager, Alan Pardew.
"We hope to complete a deal for McCarthy today, a goalkeeper from QPR," Pardew told the media ahead of the Cape Town Cup.
McCarthy joined QPR in August 2014 and only featured three times in the league for the club. The 25-year-old shotstopper made one FA Cup appearance for the R's.
McCarthy's arrival at Palace is likely to see Wayne Hennessey exit the Premier League club.
Hennessey has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion.
