Our tip: Gunners to pip 'Pool

Cape Town - Arsenal, having bounced back from a shock home loss in the opening round of the English Premiership season, will have just too many aces for currently unbeaten Liverpool on Monday night.

That is the predominant view of our resident tipsters, perhaps having noted that in last season’s corresponding fixture at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners thrashed the visitors from Merseyside 4-1 towards the end of the campaign – including three strikes during eight sublime minutes in the first half.

A decent Sunday fixture sees Everton host hungry Manchester City; both sides enter this one on the back of respective 3-0 wins last weekend though the Toffees will end the clash chewing on a comedown defeat, according to our forecasts.

Each round of the 2015/16 English Premiership season, a panel of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Herman Mostert (Chelsea), and a quartet of Manchester United devotees in Tashreeq Vardien, Wade Pretorius, Lloyd Burnard and Maano Nekhavhambe.

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
