Cape Town - With the Premier League title still undecided and fourth spot still up for grabs, a lot is riding on City’s visit to Goodison Park this weekend.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 18:30 SA time.
Despite rumours suggesting otherwise, Everton midfielder Leon Osman says the side will be going all out for victory when they take on Manchester City on Saturday.
A win for Everton is vital if they are to keep alive their hopes of Champions League football next season. Picking up a victory, however, also gives cross-city rivals Liverpool a big lift in their quest for their first title in 24 years.
It had been claimed that a section of Everton fans would rather see them miss out on the Champions League as long as it ensured Liverpool did not win the title, but Osman says they will approach the task like professionals.
According to clubcall.com, the midfielder told reporters: "It's a big game at Goodison and we want to enjoy it and win it. City needed to rely on a slip-up by Liverpool to give them a chance so they're probably favourites now and it's up to us to stop them. A lot of clubs will be watching this game very closely but we've got to put all that out of our minds and do what we always do and go into the game to win."
