Muller happy to stay at Bayern Munich

Cape Town - Manchester United's attempt to lure German star Thomas Muller to Old Trafford has failed.

The Express report that Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller is happy to remain with the Bundesliga giants.

Muller has been a target for Manchester United and his latest comments suggest a bid was made for his services from the Premier League giants but the 2014 World Cup winner has already taken steps to ease any concerns that he may quit the Allianz Arena.

"When you get an offer you consider it automatically," Muller told Bild.

"A request by a big club is an honour and appreciation that your output was good. But I feel fine at Bayern and my contract runs until 2019.

"There is nothing more to say about this speculation."

Muller's stance on the matter has ended talk that Manchester United may be succesful in luring the German to England with a reported £120 million bid - in fees and wages over a five-year contract.

At 25-years-old Muller is still one of the brightest talents in world football. He is closing in on 200 caps for Bayern Munich and has over caps with the senior German side.
