Mourinho hints at Falcao swoop

Cape Town - Chelsea appear set to take a chance on signing Radamel Falcao and reviving the career of the struggling Colombian striker.

According to Eurosport, Falcao could get a second bite at the Premier League with Chelsea set to move for the Monaco frontman.

Jose Mourinho has pledged to try and make Radamel Falcao into a world-beater again as he all-but confirmed the striker will be joining Chelsea.

"If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it," he said on South American TV.

"It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United."

The Red Devils rejected the opportunity to make Falcao's deal permanent after the Colombian's poor goal return.

Falcao netted just four goals in all competitions during his stay in Manchester.
