Liverpool's Lucas on the move

Cape Town - Brazilian midfielder Lucas, who has fallen out of favour at Liverpool and who was excluded from the squad that travelled to Manchester City last night, is set to complete a move to Napoli.

According to the Mirror, Napoli and former Reds manager Rafael Benitez is eager to bring the 27-year-old to Italy for a fee of around £1.5 million for the season, and a further £ 8million to make the move permanent could follow after that.

Reports suggest Lucas was left out of last night's defeat to City in order to avoid the deal being affected by any last-minute injuries.
