Liverpool raise ticket prices

2010-06-09 10:07

Liverpool - English Premiership club Liverpool have announced a 7% increase in their season ticket price, which UK newspaper The Guardian reports could fuel the anger of fans at the clubs' current ownership.

Part of the rise is down to the increase in UK sales tax (VAT) to 17.5% from 15%.

Kop seats will cost £680, if purchased online and £732 if purchased at a ticket window at Anfield.

The Main Stand, Paddock and Centenary Stands will cost £732 online and £785 at the window, and the Anfield Road end will cost £722 online and £774 at the window.

all clubs go through down periods, unfortunately Rafa couldn't get the right mix in the last few years, and it is the coach that makes the difference. He was most definitely hampered by the yanks who have destroyed the club's finances, while milking it for all it's worth - they weren't even using their own money, but Liverpool's own. What do yanks know about soccer ? keep them in the usa and out of the rest of the world, they only create mayhem wherever they go. Let a European with background and understanding take over the club and lead it back to it's former glory - it will eventually be the financial management that determines Liverpool's fate.

Its gonna be another tough season both on and off the field i'm afraid...Hopefully the new Manager can breath new life into the club.

Screw the club up and then put it on sale for double the original price? Screw up the club and then make the tickets more expensive? These yanks sure are pretty backward. Surely they need to make tickets cheaper to at least give the loyal match goers something to smile about.
