Late goal wins it for Spurs

London - Aaron Lennon struck in stoppage time as Tottenham came from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.

With a third straight league win, Spurs moved just a point behind Manchester City, currently in the fourth Champions League spot.

Martin Skrtel had put Liverpool ahead in the 42nd minute with his first goal in a year, but the defender inadvertently turned Luka Modric's cross into his own net in the 65th.

Jermain Defoe missed a penalty for Spurs and then had a goal disallowed for offside in the 89th, before Lennon scored the winner.
