FULL TIME AT THE BRIDGE

Chelsea see the match home with ease as they continue to set a blistering pace to the season while bringing Arsenal's unbeaten league record to an end.

Mourinho disappears straight down the tunnel without acknowledging his Gunners' counterpart, his team did the talking today.

For Arsenal, they fail to catch a march on the glut of teams all bunched in and around the European places on the log.

05 Oct 2014

93' Costa almost produces the miss of the season as he blazes Schurrle's square ball over the bar at point blank range, but his blushes are spared as the assistant referee waves his flag for offside.

05 Oct 2014

91' Welbeck has gone in to challenge Fabregas with two feet off the ground, referee Atkinson reaches for his pocket and produces a yellow card when a red would have been no surprise either.

05 Oct 2014

87' Brazilian Oscar goes OFF to a standing ovation from the Stamford Bridge faithful and will be REPLACED by compatriot Willian for the closing stages of the match.

05 Oct 2014

86' Intensity of the match seems to have gone down a few notches after the Costa goal.

05 Oct 2014

Crowd is chanting "Diego Diego Diego"...

Cesc Fabregas with a brilliant ball through to Costa, he chests down and lobs the Arsenal keeper.

How many times has that happened this season already?

Cesc to Costa = GOAL!

05 Oct 2014

DIEGO COSTA! WHAT A GOAL!

05 Oct 2014

77' GOALLL!

05 Oct 2014

75' Splendid football but no goal.

Diego Costa takes on a couple of Arsenal defenders, slips in a ball to Eden Hazard who's first touch is brilliant but his shot is lashed over the ball.

Champagne buildup with a glass of water result.

05 Oct 2014

Jose's tactical change:

Mikel has dropped in alongside Matic.

Fabregas moves forward.

Oscar goes wide left, Hazard wide right.

05 Oct 2014

73' Wild strike by Chambers.

The young gun (excuse the pun) lashes a shot over the top of Petr Cech and the goals.

05 Oct 2014

71' Any more goals in this game?

Chelsea look happy to try see off the rest of the game with just the one goal cushion.

Can Arsenal find another gear?

05 Oct 2014

Chelsea also make a change as Andre Schurrle departs for John Obi Mikel.

05 Oct 2014

68'  Cazorla off. The Ox replaces him.

05 Oct 2014

STAT ATTACK:

Total match shots: 7 (4 of those from the visitors)

Total shots on target: 2 (both from Chelsea)

05 Oct 2014

65' Oscar down. I repeat Oscar is down.

He made a fantastic block on Flamini's long range shot and the Arsenal player may have caught his hand when the pair fell on the ground.

05 Oct 2014

63' Arsenal appeal for the penalty after Jack Wilshere sees his shot deflected for a corner.

Not given. And rightly so.

Corner is well cleared by Diego Costa. Chelsea break...but it comes to nought.

05 Oct 2014

Reminder that it's just the one goal that separates the teams in London.

Hazard with the penalty.

05 Oct 2014

59' Chelsea running the Gunners ragged.

Schurrle can't provide the final but the Blues on the rampage now...

05 Oct 2014

57' Almost an own goal.

Eden Hazard's driven cross is deflected out, via the cross bar, by Flamini. That was almost good night nurse!

05 Oct 2014

54' How lucky was that?

The Arsenal keeper, who's surname is un-spellable, makes a dodgy clearance which Diego Costa blocks but the rebound goes to Chambers.

Almost a major error there!

05 Oct 2014

51' Good bit of pressure now from Chelsea, the Gunners hold firm though and survive.

Very few open chances in this game so far. Another goal might seal the result for either side (win for the Blues and a great draw for Arsenal).

05 Oct 2014

Goes over everyone in the middle, Matic recovers and crosses but it's headed clear...

05 Oct 2014

50'  Free kick to Chelsea, deep in Arsenal territory...

05 Oct 2014

45 minutes to go for Arsenal to find a way back into this game.

05 Oct 2014

A reminder of the other game on in London. Spurs lead Southampton 1-0 after 60mins.

05 Oct 2014

Arsenal have trailed in 5 of their last 7 games...

What's the problem with the Gunners?

Any way back into this game?

05 Oct 2014

Stat attack:

Arsenal have kept just one clean sheet in their last 15 league games at Chelsea.

Make that 1 in 16 after Hazard's penalty.

05 Oct 2014

STAT ATTACK:

Eden Hazard has scored his last seven penalties...

#class

05 Oct 2014

HALF TIME STATS:

Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

Possession: 50%-50%

Shots: 2-1

Take-ons attempted: 8-21

Pass accuracy: 79%-82%.

05 Oct 2014

Chelsea lead at the break.

Hazard with the penalty to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

05 Oct 2014

40 seconds left in the first half.

Advantage Chelsea. Haven't been great but they are in front...

Is Diego Costa playing?

05 Oct 2014

45' + 2'  Typical Arsenal.

Great passing by the Gunners and trying to walk the ball into the back of the net.

No shot in the end (suprise surprise) and Chelsea hack it clear.

05 Oct 2014

Four minutes of time is added on in the first half.

05 Oct 2014

Fabregas with a poor free kick. Tries a low shot from the angle despite all of Chelsea's tall men waiting inside the box.

05 Oct 2014

43' Wow...Shocking defending by Arsenal.

Chambers lucky not to see red there.

Chelsea on the counter attack and Schurrle is brought down. Almost a penalty as well.

05 Oct 2014

41' The game has lost its flow with neither side really dominating possession.

Plenty of back and forth stuff as we move towards half time.

05 Oct 2014

He's up now but a tad groggy. Game back on.

05 Oct 2014

Ugly scenes!

Oscar and Koscielny clash heads. Oscar is back up but the Frenchman is not looking good...

05 Oct 2014

Cross comes in deep but Sanchez is unable to get on the end of it...Chelsea defence is too good at the moment.

05 Oct 2014

36'  Free kick in a good area for Arsenal.

05 Oct 2014

Half time at White Hart Lane and Spurs lead Southampton 1-0.

Chelsea finally get the game underway.
3'
Alexis Sanchez tries his luck from distance but his speculative effort goes wide of the target.
5'
Slow start from both sides. Arsenal are arguably looking the livelier but Chelsea are enjoying more possession.
7'
Chelsea are forcing Arsenal into making mistakes. They are hurrying the Arsenal players whenever they are on the ball.
9'
Calum Chambers swings in a cross from the right but it is too high and Thibaut Courtois claims the ball.
10'
Courtois is receiving treatment after colliding with Sanchez.
11'
Courtois is fine to continue. Luckily his head hit the hip of Sanchez rather than the knee.
14'
It pretty drab at the Bridge right now, neither side are doing much with the ball in the final third.
18'
Andre Schurrle delivers a corner but he cannot pick out a Chelsea player.
19'
Martin Atkinson is letting a lot of tackles go. He's just let Mathieu Flamini get away with one.
20'
Gary Cahill goes into the book for a foul on Sanchez.
22'
Eden Hazard gets brought down by Chambers, who receives a yellow card.
23'
Courtois is again receiving treatment. It looks like he will be coming off.
24'
Courtois cannot continue. On comes Petr Cech.
25'
John Terry meets Cesc Fabregas' free-kick at the far post but his header flies over the bar.
27'
Laurent Koscielny brings down Hazard in the box to give away a penalty.
27'
Koscielny gets a yellow card.
27'
Hazard rolls the ball home to give Chelsea the lead.
29'
César Azpilicueta tries one from distance but it isn't troubling Wojciech Szczesny.
31'
Arsenal have attacking talent in the abundance, it is just a shame that they don't know what to do with it this afternoon.
34'
Mesut Ozil does not look 100 per cent today. Time after time he is getting dispossessed.
36'
Terry does well to clear Kieran Gibbs' driven cross.
37'
Ozil takes a free-kick. It is a pretty good delivery but just a bit too long for Sanchez to get onto.
38'
That is nasty clash of heads. Koscielny and Oscar are both down receiving treatment.
40'
Wenger will not be happy that his side have failed to test either of the Chelsea goalkeepers thus far.
42'
Ozil finds himself in a good crossing position, but his cross is poor and easy for Terry to clear.
44'
Chambers brings down Schurrle on the edge of the area. He's already been booked and that tackle was certainly a bookable offence. He's got away with one there.
45'
Half-time at Stamford Bridge.
46'
Game back underway at the Bridge.
53'
Branislav Ivanovic receives a yellow card.
56'
Arsenal seriously need to find something.
58'
Really good stop by Szczesny. Hazard's cross deflects of Flamini but Szczesny manages to instinctively turn it onto his post. Truly splendid save.
60'
Lovely feet from Hazard in the centre of the pitch. The Belgian is having a wonderful game. Arsenal cannot deal with him in the slightest.
62'
Diego Costa tries in vein to reach Nemanja Matic's through ball. Szczesny took up a good starting position and managed to beat the forward to the ball.
63'
Arsenal appeal for a penalty. Jack Wilshere's effort does hit the hand of the sliding Cesc Fabregas but it was by no means intentional. The ref gives a corner and nothing more.
65'
Great diving block by Oscar to stop Flamini's rasping drive going on target.
66'
Andre Schurrle receives a yellow card.
69'
Both sides make a change. John Obi Mikel comes on for Schurrle, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaces Cazorla.
71'
With Mikel now on the pitch Fabregas can move further forward.
73'
Chambers has a half volley from the edge of the area but it goes about a yard over the bar. He had to hit that.
78'
Costa doubles the lead. Fabregas plays a lovely defence splitting pass. The forward has the piece of mind to loft the ball over the on-rushing Szczesny.
80'
That's it, the game is done. That Chelsea goal has really knocked Arsenal for six. They are looking dejected out there right now.
83'
Tomas Rosicky replaces Wilshere.
85'
Oscar picks up a yellow card.
87'
Willian comes on for Oscar.
90'
Cech forced into making a close range save from Lukas Podolski.
91'
