Kagawa falls out with LVG, set for exit

Cape Town - Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa could be made available for transfer after reports in England suggest he has fallen out of favour with Louis Van Gaal.

Shinji Kagawa looks set to be moved on by Manchester United before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.

Kevin Palmer, a journalist for the Sunday World, may have just broken the the transfer market open with this tweet:

Van Gaal appears now to be ready to offload the Japan star. This news will please both Atletico Madrid and Dortmund,  as both sides are reportedly interested in ending the midfielder's nightmare stay at Old Trafford.

Often played out of position by David Moyes last season, Kagawa has failed to win over van Gaal during the first few month's of the Dutch manager's tenure at Manchester United.

With van Gaal adamant on playing his 3-5-2 formation at United, Kagawa sits behind Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney for a role as a starting play maker.

Kawaga signed for Manchester United in 2012 from Dortmund but has failed to impress at the "Theatre of Dreams".

Kagawa has scored 6 goals in 56 appearances for United, a far cry from his goal-scoring exploits in the Bundesliga where he netted 29 times in 71 appearances for Dortmund.

It may not be too long before #freeShinji starts trending again...
