Cape Town - Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson has accepted he is unlikely to stay at the club beyond the end of the season.

The 30-year-old's contract is set to expire at the end of June and there does not appear to be any signs of him penning a new deal before then.

Johnson has found himself back in the starting line-up in the last three games, but doubts he will be at Anfield come next season.

"Of course [I expect to leave at the end of the season], I have no contract," Johnson told the Liverpool Echo.

"I don't think that will change but we have to wait and see.

"I have always been professional all season, always wanted to play and that's still what I'm doing.

"I've got four more games and then let's see what we do in the summer."

Johnson has made 17 league appearances for the Reds this season, 13 of them being starts.
