Hamburg wants Spurs' Holtby

Cape Town - Tottenham may yet decide to cash in on midfielder Lewis Holtby after Bundesliga side Hamburg declared their interest.

The London Evening Standard report that midfielder Lewis Holtby could be heading for the exit at White Hart Lane.

Hamburg director Dietmar Beiersdorfer said: “I’d be lying if I said we had nothing to do with Holtby.”

The midfielder, who has failed to impress new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, spent part of last season on loan at Fulham.

There has been interest in Holtby by English Premiership clubs with Mark Hughes particularly keen to bring the midfielder to Stoke.

Holtby was signed in January 2013 by Andre Villas-Boas.
