Arsenal v West Ham postponed

London - Arsenal have postponed their English Premier League game with West Ham United on December 26 due to planned industrial action affecting London's Underground transport network, the club announced on Wednesday.

Arsenal said the disruption meant that supporter safety at their Emirates Stadium could not be guaranteed for the traditional Boxing Day fixture.

The match will instead be played on either January 23 or January 26, depending on how the two clubs fare in their respective FA Cup third-round matches on the weekend of January 5-6.

"We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused supporters but we feel that the right decision has been made," said Arsenal in a statement.

"Tickets already purchased for this match are still valid for the rearranged date, which is yet to be confirmed."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
