Cape Town - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly lined up a trio of star players as he plans his summer spending.
The Mirror report that Arsenal will attempt to sign three players in the summer - two from English Premiership rivals and one from the Bundesliga.
Long-term target Morgan Schneiderlin is rumoured to be Wenger's number one target while the Gunners manager also lines up bids for Chelsea's Petr Cech and defender Neven Subotic, from Borussia Dortmund.
Wenger has identified the trio ahead of the summer window as he looks to turn his English Premiership title pretenders into serious contenders.
Schneiderlin was linked with a move away from Southampton before Ronald Koeman blocked his exit. The talented French star has had a stellar season for the Saints, only further justifying demand in his services.
Earlier in the season, Schneiderlin hinted he could leave if the Saints fail in a bid to secure Champions League football.
At the time, Schneiderlin told French daily newspaper, L'Equipe,: "If someone had told me at the end of the transfer window that Southampton would be second, I would not have believed it.
"A career passes quickly and I want to play for a big club.
"Today I am at Southampton, we are second in the Premier League, it's going well.
"We'll see at the end of the season if [a transfer] will happen. If we have qualified for the Champions League, I will make the choice."
Petr Cech is expected to leave Chelsea at the end of the season with reports indicating the experienced goalkeeper's desire to remain in London.
