Fergie expects Giggs to stay

Manchester - Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson expects Ryan Giggs to remain at the club for another season, taking the midfielder's one-team career into his 40s.

Ferguson says "he will play for another year ... there are no discerning signs of tiredness or weakness in his game."

The 39-year-old Giggs produced an impressive display in United's 1-0 win over West Ham in Wednesday's third-round replay in the FA Cup at Old Trafford, quieting doubters who have criticized recent performances.

Ferguson says "his quality is still there and he has fantastic balance. He has the appetite for it and he is just an incredible human being."

Giggs has won 12 English Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two Champions League trophies with United.

No...when I have a rough day...I don't take to making brainless comments on this forum. I know what regular banter is...I have been following Football (English in particular) for almost 30 years. Your comments are not about a banter...they are plain down stupid. Ryan Giggs is a Legend and hís legacy does'nt need your brainless comments. I do not own Ryan Giggs or get any royalties but give credit where it's due. If you are a knowledgeable Football supporter you would be making positive comments rather than pouring crap out. Think about it....before you hit the keyboard next time.

Just shows that money never drove him away from OT and in his early days...he was sought after by the likes of Inter, AC, Barca and Bayern. A true professional who really deserves the LEGEND status.
