Cape Town - Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes have both taken City fans to task about the lack of support offered to the Citizens.
Earlier this year, Manchester City confirmed that a stadium expansion was in the pipeline with a new capacity of over 55 000 the goal but two former players are questioning the need for such a move.
Former Manchester United Paul Scholes has blamed a lack of atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium for Manchester City’s underwhelming performances in the Champions League and former teammate Rio Ferdinand also had his say on the matter.
The former Manchester United defender took to Twitter to ask why the blue half of Manchester needs a bigger stadium.
Rio wasn't done there and added another tweet on the topic.
Is Ferdinand right? Do City need a bigger stadium?
