Felliani to be shown the United door

Cape Town - Marouane Fellaini is being strongly linked with an exit from Manchester United after just one season with the club.

David Moyes signed the Belgium midfielder for £27.5 million last season but after Moyes' was axed by the United hierarchy, it seems that the player he signed will suffer the same fate.

The Independent are suggesting that Manchester United want to offload the player for a fee in the region of £15 million after Van Gaal reportedly told the Ed Woodward, executive vice-chairman of Manchester United, that the player does not feature in his plans.

Napoli boss, Rafael Benitez, is interested in taking Fellaini off United's hands but any deal with the Serie A club will be contingent on Fellaini first joining on loan.

Napoli do not have the funds available for a straight cash deal while Manchester United are seeking to recoup as much of the £27.5 million they spent on the player which may mean United looking elsewhere to offload Fellaini.
Another potential stumbling block in a deal with Napoli is that the player would need to take a huge cut in the £100,000-a-week salary he currently earns at United.
