Fellaini wanted by Napoli... for his hair!

Cape Town - Marouane Fellaini could seal a move to Napoli after the club's president confirmed that he is interested in the lanky midfielder.

The Telegraph are reporting that Aurelio De Laurentis wants Marouane Fellaini to join his side to complete his midfield but not entirely for footballing reasons.

Napoli's move for Fellaini may yet stall due to a disagreement on the fee structure but the Napoli boss is keen on the Belgian midfielder to link up with Gokhan Inler in the centre of the park.

De Laurentis thinks that Fellaini and Inler, who shaves his hair, will look good together.

De Laurentis made Inler wear a lion's mask when the Swiss international was presented to the fans in 2011.

Now with a move for Fellaini gathering momentum, the Napoli president is backing Rafa Benitez's pursuit of the curly locked midfielder.

“They (Fellaini and Inler) would make a nice pair,” said the Napoli president.

“Together they have a hairstyle that looks like a lion’s mane and three years ago I presented Inler with the mask of a lion!”
