Fans backing Balotelli exit

Cape Town - There was a particularly one sided response to the question "How long will Mario Balotelli last at Liverpool" which was posed to the Sport24 soccer fans recently.

49% of the audience polled believe Mario Balotelli's stay at Liverpool will be short. Very short. And not too sweet with the Italy striker still sidelined with injury and yet to find the back of the net in the English Premiership.

"He'll be gone in January!" was chosen by almost half of those fans who took part in the poll, a staggering amount if you consider the number of Liverpool fans hoping (and wishing) that the Italian bad-boy will suddenly spark into life at Anfield.

"Not sure, maybe until the end of the season?" was the option voted for by a staggering 31% of the readers.

Putting those two options together, 80% of Sport24 readers believe Mario Balotelli will scrape through just one season at the Reds before moving away from the historic club.

Just 12% of the fans are of the opinion that Balotelli will last two seasons at the club and an extremely optimistic 8%, presumably the die-hard Scousers amongst the Sport24 audience, believe Balotelli will retire as a legend at the club.
