EPL Team of the Week 8

Cape Town - After the weekend's English Premiership action, Wade Pretorius chooses the EPL Team of the Week.

Sergio Aguero stole the headlines as Manchester City thrashed Spurs 4-1 with the Argentine scoring all four goals as the defending champions enjoyed a comfortable afternoon against Mauricio Pochettino's side.

It was far less pleasant at St Mary's Stadium in Southampton as Sunderland were humiliated 8-0 by a Dusan Tadic-inspired home team.

Alan Pardew finally gave the Toon Army something to smile about albeit in a closely fought 1-0 win over Leicester City.

This weekend was a dark one for defenders Richard Dunne, Steven Caulker, Santiago Vergini and Liam Bridcutt who all found the net against their own side and unsurprisingly came nowhere close to being selected in starting eleven for Team of Week.

Saido Berahino's wonderful performance against Manchester United means that the formation of the team of the week is altered to accommodate him in a three-pronged attack for this week's best eleven players.

EPL Team of the Week 8:

1. Joe Hart (Manchester City)
