Cape Town - Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko's future at Manchester City has in doubt after comments made by national teammate Miralem Pjanic.
The Mirror report that Roma star Miralem Pjanic believes Dzeko is keen on a move to the Serie A.
Pjanic told Roma News: "Dzeko would run to Roma and the wages won't be a problem, as he'd adjust them," before adding "It all depends on the club".
The 29-year-old striker has struggled to nail down a first team spot at Manchester City and could be allowed to quit England for Italy if Roma manage to agree a fee.
A stumbling block to any deal for Dzeko may be the transfer fee with the striker still having three years left on his current deal.
Should Dzeko depart the Etihad this summer, Manchester City would still have Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony in their attacking lineup.
Dzeko scored just six goals last season in 31 appearances.
